Oyewale Abioye is a multi-award winning agripreneur. He has over five years’ experience working on development projects/programs that focus on improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Sub-Sahara Africa. His research interests include rural entrepreneurship, agricultural value chain development, Impact assessment and technology adoption.

Oyewale is a certified project manager, Oracle Certified Administrator (OCA) and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS). He owns an enterprise that processes cassava into flakes, and runs plantain/yam farms. Oyewale is a fellow of the Dutch-Nigeria Student Business Challenge. He was a Next Generation Delegate at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Global Food Security Symposium 2018, in Washington DC where he represented African Youth on a panel discussion on Youth Perspectives, Potential and Progress: An Insiders’ Take. Oyewale has won several scholarships, grants and fellowships

Olajumoke Adebayo is a Nurse-Midwife and sexual, reproductive, maternal and child health advocate. She began her advocacy work at the age of 19 through writing. She blogs at www.preggiesnbabies.com, where she educates men, women, and mothers on issues around sexual, reproductive, maternal and child health.

She has worked as a programs officer for a social enterprise (Mamalette), and was the pioneering programs officer who designed the motherhood cell groups. This program has spread to other states such as Ogun and Oyo. She also volunteers for The Nigerian Child Initiative, where she helps provide health to children in underserved communities through health outreaches and also engages in education and awareness of the Global goals to young adolescents.

Olajumoke is the convener of “Passage Between Your Legs,” a sexual health meet-up for young people to discuss issues around sexuality in a safe and judgment free environment. Olajumoke is passionate about achieving optimal well-being and rights of girls and women through education, advocacy and policy making. She also believes in gender equality in dissemination of information.

Mofolasade Adeboyejo (prefers to be called Folasade) is an aquatic ecologist and an alumna of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She is a nature enthusiast, scientist, ocean educator, and ecopreneur. Folasade is passionate about marine ecosystems, underserved communities, and youth engagement in achieving Sustainable Development Goals 2, 8, 10 and 14. She is a member of the African Women in Fisheries Network, an organization addressing sustainable livelihood and inequality among fish processors.

Folasade was the project coordinator on marine litter with the Lagos Chapter of Mundus Maris Asbl, a NGO working to attain sustainability via art and science. Having worked on plastic removal from coastal communities via coordination of incessant clean-up campaigns, she is currently working on prevention techniques. She successfully organized a Digital Story Telling workshop for twenty youths from five coastal communities on plastic pollution. This was organized to educate, train, and facilitate the development of local stories for advocacy, an essential tool for behavioral change.

Folasade is the progenitor of “PLASTIC BANK,” a social innovation which aims to transform waste management in Nigeria by encouraging waste separation in household and inclusive circular economy at the local level.

Olutimehin Adegbeye is a writer, speaker, and activist whose work focuses on gender, women’s rights and health, and sex, sexualities, and sexual violence. She also addresses issues of Urban Poverty and Sustainable Development.

Ms. Adegbeye has been published in multiple languages. Her print publications can be found in StyleMANIA Magazine (Nigeria), Essays Magazine (South Africa), Klassekampen (Norway), and Women’s Asia 21 (Japan), among others. Her writing has also been published online by the African Feminist Forum, the African Women’s Development Fund, the Association for Women’s Rights in Development, Bistandsaktuelt, the Gender-Based Violence Prevention Network, Latterly Magazine, This is Africa, Premium Times, and others.

Her TED Talk, Who Belongs In A City?, was delivered at TEDGlobal 2017 in Arusha, Tanzania and has reached more than one million views. She has also spoken on various panels in Brazil, Kenya, Norway, and other countries.

Mary Adeoye is a microbiologist and girls’ right advocate. She has a passion for improving the health and well-being of women and girls, including sexual and reproductive health, mental and physical health and maternal and child health. She was a member of the HIV and Ebola Prevention Promotion NYSC Club in Rivers State.

Over the years, she has acquired basic skills in behavior change, communication, and advocacy. During her work with Society for Family Health, she contributed to over 1000 women and girls in Rivers State taking up family planning methods under the Expanded Social Marketing Project in Nigeria. Mary has participated in several community outreaches and helped improve health outcomes of women and girls. She currently works with a team that leads family planning and sexual violence projects. Mary strongly believes that every child has a right to education regardless of gender.

Toluwanimi Afolayan is a market-driven research professional, who has over three years of experience in market-driven research and development.  She is committed to research and development that uses biotechnology tools and techniques to create and ensure a safe and sustainable environment. Toluwanimi achieves this by carrying out research that identifies environmental hazards and national challenge caused by agro industrial residues or wastes, which she then uses as raw materials for industrial research to make useful market products for industrial, environmental and national use.

Toluwanimi is a certified peer educator trainer who volunteers for community development. She has educated the 200 secondary school students on adolescent health, HIV/AIDS under the National Reproductive Health, and HIV/AIDS prevention and care project. She is volunteers with the Lagos Food Bank initiative.

Toluwanimi is driven to developing and engaging change, making leaders and communities that will bring about transformations and impacts across the globe.

Hammed Alabi is an educator, career coach, inspirational speaker, and writer. He started his journey as an educator at the age of 15, teaching basic education subjects to nursery school students. He wants to see a world where young people can connect what they do in the classroom to the practical world.  He is the founder of Kayfactor Leadership and Career Academy (KLCA), an NGO that helps secondary school students discover their purpose and disposition through symposium, one on one coaching, group mentoring, and storytelling. Through this platform, over 1000 Students have been reached.

Hammed was selected as one of the Youth Champions by African Monitor to monitor the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa through the Citizens Reports Initiative. This involves him collecting citizen generated data and conducting citizen hearings for advocacy in three regions across Nigeria to strengthen democracy, reduce inequalities, and ensure development outcomes increase significantly for the poor.

Nafisa Utulu Atiku Bubakar is a legal practitioner, writer, public speaker and project manager for LEADS Nigeria, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring good governance in Nigeria. She is incredibly passionate about sustainable democratic systems and civic education, which lead her to establish an initiative called NYouthSpeaks which serves as a political education outfit teaching young Nigerians about critical national issues, how to vote and empower them to make a difference in their local communities.

Nafisa currently sits on the board of WomenInPoliticsNG, a dynamic non-profit dedicated to increasing women participation in politics. She has been a guest on several popular TV shows, such as Rubbing Minds and Ali Baba Seriously, where she spoke about voting patterns, political education, and evolving systems of government. Her articles on development and inclusive democracies have been featured in BellaNaija, one of Nigeria’s leading blogs, and YMonitor.

She is also the founder of Changemakers Spotlight, a platform dedicated to using stories of civil society actors all over Africa to inspire development.

Oluwatoyosi Bakare is an environmental scientist with hands on practical experience in environmental administration, curriculum development and management. She is the founder of Action GX, a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage children and adults to love and take better care of their community and the earth through environmental education and participation.

She is also responsible for the establishment of Chava Environmental Consult, which aims to give bespoke environmental solutions to start-ups and established businesses. She has an MSc Degree in Environmental and Public Health, and she is very passionate about the improvement of learning development in young people – she has demonstrated this across different platforms. She also works as the director for wildlife education with the Wildlife of Africa Conservation Initiative.

She recently started her podcast known as THE CLIME, which she uses to educate on environmental issues.

Abraham Femi

Abraham Femi serves as a programs development officer at LEAP Africa, where he develops and implements leadership and social entrepreneurship programs for youths across Nigeria. He has facilitated a development project sponsored by the Citi Foundation, Union Bank, and Ford Foundation, aimed at enabling youth transitioning and facilitating upward social mobility.

Abraham is a 4-year MTN Foundation scholarship recipient and was also among the 5 Nigerian students that qualified for the CERN-Geneva OpenLab contest. He has previously worked as a business development analyst with Sams & Wright Consulting, where he developed market research reports and strategy frameworks for businesses operating in the Sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia. Abraham has led social impact interventions focused on empowering youths with skills for personal transformation and community development across communities in Nigeria.

Eleso Moyosoreoluwa is a media and communications practitioner, seasoned public speaker and youth advocate who is passionate about leadership, personal development and volunteering. She is an on-air-personality with LASU Radio 95.7FM, the campus radio station of Lagos State University, where she bagged a B.A (Hons) in History and International Studies in 2014.

She is a writer and a corporate MC who has handled several events successfully under her own events’ brand named Talking MO. Talking MO also serves as a social media platform/vlog where she reaches out to thousands of people on inter-personal, developmental and socio-cultural issues.

Moyosoreoluwa as a youth advocate has contributed to several community development programs, youth conferences, and leadership program through an organization she co-founded in 2011 and collaborated with other youth platforms like Naija Volunteers, LeverageNG – now Tbe Leverage Africa, CVL Club, and a host of others. Yearly, she champions social media campaigns to enlighten Nigerians on International Women’s Day as well as International Volunteer Day, and she is currently working on setting up a network for volunteers in Nigeria.

Lucille Onazi is a remarkable young woman with a passion for impacting positively to her environment. She was a volunteer for years as a field agent with the National Immunization Program. She was part of a group that supplied vaccines for children in rural areas, to prevent polio, measles and viral meningitis at the time.

She takes every new experience as a challenge, and for every challenge, she has come out better. She has working experience in various sectors of the economy, which includes but is not limited to: business, telecommunications, energy, health, and education, just to mention a few.

Abiodun Unegbu is a banker, youth and human rights activist with over 13 years of experience in youth-development programming garnered from volunteering as a peer educator on adolescent reproductive health for international and local groups, including Family Health International and Community Life Project, Nigeria.

For her work, she has received several awards and nominations including but not limited to the United National Alliance of Civilization/Youth Solidarity Fund 2015/2016 award on Inter-Cultural Learning for Peace and the John Paul Usman Civic Award for Civic Leaders 2017. Through Leadership Initiative for Youth Empowerment (LIFE), an organization she co-founded in 2012, Abiodun has championed youth leadership and human rights issues with youth and grassroots organizations in Nigeria reaching over 60,000 young people and community beneficiaries.

Elizabeth Williams has worked in the public health field for the last 5 years – with expertise in managing teams, monitoring and evaluation of programs, report writing, and research. Her expertise has seen her manage projects mainly focused on reproductive health, female genital mutilation/cutting, family planning, HIV/AIDs, and gender-based violence. She has worked closely with UNFPA, Advocates for Youth, Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, and numerous NGOs such as Action Health Incorporated, Youth Empowerment Development Initiative, Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) and New HIV Microbicide Advocacy Society on various projects.

Elizabeth is the National Deputy Coordinator of the African Youth and Adolescent Network on Population and Development (AFriYAN), Nigeria, a Leaving No Nigerian Behind (LeNNiB) Champion, a Young African Leader Initiative Regional and Leadership Center Alumnus, West Africa and the Youth Coordinator of UNFPA Youth Participatory Platform Lagos.
